50 at 50 - Checking a few things off of the list

Well, progress on my 50 at 50 list is coming along at a slow pace.  I do not mind that though and I am perfectly ok if this list bleeds over into my 51st year.  But, I still have been able to check a few things off of my list and add a few more.  By the way, I am still stuck at 45 things on my list so if you have any ideas that might fit me, just let me know!

As far as additions go, they are simple ones.  One is to get a library card.  I have not had one in decades.  I really did not need one when I was a student but now that I am not, I think I would like to have them.  Going to the library was so much fun when I was a kid.  It was an important part of my upbringing.  And I think it is good to support libraries during this time in our world.  Another thing is to go to the movies. I just have not been inside a movie theater in almost 10 years. It is something I would like to experience again.  Going to the Greensboro History Museum is the last thing I added.  Even though I have lived here 30 years, I have never been, and I need to go.

As far as things I have checked off of my list, getting my Master's degree is the biggest accomplishment.  Quite proud of that one!  In my quest to try new local restaurants, I went to a place called Bagner & Alexa's which is just down the street from me.  The breakfast was great, and I will totally go back again. I tried a few new recipes, which will appear on the blog soon enough:  Pimento Cheese Sausage Balls and Chicken & Shrimp over pasta in a Lemon Cream Sauce. Both will be added to my recipe canon.  And lastly, I went to Kerner's Folly, the historic home in Kernersville.  That was fantastic.  A beautiful place that I highly recommend.  I would love to go back and see it at Christmas!

So, things are coming along, and I am happy with where I am in my progress.  Here's to new adventures this month!
