I was first introduced to this prayer as a teenager at FBC Monroe. We sang a version of this prayer as an anthem in youth choir. I remember it being a beautiful arrangement. I need to search for a recording of it because it was a lovely anthem. But the words of this prayer really stuck with me. In today's world, we could definitely use more St. Francis types, and it gives a person something to aspire to.
