Daily Challenge for November

Now that November is almost over, I suppose it is time to talk about my daily challenge. This month's challenge has been all about self-care.  That was also my challenge for October, but I decided to continue it into this month. And I will do it each month going forward with more specific challenges added to the canon.

I have been taking time each day to do something just for me.  Sometimes it's listening to music, sometimes it's going thrifting, sometimes it's reading.  It is simply the act of taking the time each day just for me.  It's not always as easy as it sounds, but I need those few moments to regroup and rejuvenate.  It does the soul good.

Part of this self-care has been combining my previous challenges into my normal day to day routine.  Doing my morning devotions has been good for me.  This series of devotions is directed at care givers and that is right up my alley. I often joke about shopping in my garage, but I love going through the boxes I find.  The items I uncover bring back such wonderful memories of people and places.  While I do not wish to live in the past, it is always nice to visit and reminisce. Taking care of myself is so important because it affects how my day goes, how my interactions with people go, how my mental health goes.  So many good things result from self-care that I am quite enjoying this practice.
