Blue Christmas is, honestly, one of those songs that I can take or leave. If I hear it at Christmas, great. If I don't, that's ok too. The other day, though, I was listening to Loretta Lynn's 1966 Christmas album, Country Christmas, when Blue Christmas came on. There is something about the way she sings this that made me hear it differently. I really heard the longing in her voice and brought out more emotion in the song than I am used to. I enjoyed this immensely and hope you do too!
